Description:

Panasonic’s Jan Crittenden Livingston provides an overview of how footage is described and stored in a Digital Asset Management System. As more work is done with file-based workflows, finding that 30 second clip in a 60 Terabyte library will become a critical requirement. Learn how to define the metadata and input the information so that key clips can be found easily and efficiently.

Jan brings the Panasonic AG-HPX600 and the AG-HPG24 as part of the demo, describing how to insert Metadata into P2 in four different pathways. Two by computer and two by camera/P2 Recorder. She will discuss why you don't have to wait until the show is entirely recorded before you start logging your footage. As a result, it's easier to find footage in the edit room and makes the entire process more efficient overall. Logging afterward can point to any number of situations within the footage. Join us and learn more! Can't make it? Watch it afterward on Vimeo.
