The operating time for playing and recording will vary upon whether use is continuous or interrupted (start/stop, zooming, power on/off).

Continuous recording time = 45 mins. using the LCD screen, 55 mins. Using only the viewfinder.
Interrupted recording time = 25 mins using the LCD screen, 30 mins using only the viewfinder.
Playing time = 1 hr using the LCD screen, 1.25 hrs with LCD closed.
