The MKH 60 is a lightweight shot gun microphone. It is versatile and easy to handle and its superb lateral sound muting makes it an excellent choice for film and reporting applications. Its high degree of directivity ensures high sound quality for distance applications.
The MKH 60 is a step up in sound processing from the ME-66. With no onboard battery the MKH 60 must be powered by an external power supply (included), but with the space saved in the mic body there has been functionality added.
This mic includes the base cut switch, a treble cut switch, and a 10db attenuation switch. This makes it usable in any application. Great for dialogue work with a super cardioid pickup pattern, the cut switches allow you to take control of the sound at the point of acquisition. The -10db switch makes this mic usable in noisy situations i.e. concert or other outdoor event, provided you can get close enough to your speaker you can get good clean sound even before you get to your mixer or recorder.
- Symmetrical transducer technology ensures extremely low distortion
- Rugged and weather-proof black, anodized light metal casing
- Pick-up pattern: super-cardioid/lobar
- Frequency response: 50Hz-20kHz
