An HD camcorder that offers the stunning quality of 24p HD video together with the flexibility of variable frame rates and colorimetry. This version of Panasonic's well respected camera comes with 12-bit A/D Processing and higher sensitivity CCD's

The Varicam shoots at 24-, 30-, and 60-fps as well as single-step increments between 4 and 60 fps. 24p is the traditional film frame rate but the other rates can be achieved in-camera, real-time effects such as "warp-speed" as well as less obvious but useful effects such as increasing (or slowing down!) the speed of action sequences, etc.
