This allows you to have fewer p2 cards on the set. With the HVX200 camcorder's hot swap feature, you can remove a full P2 card and replace it with an empty one without stopping the camera. Then take the full P2 card and download its contents to the P2 Store, reformat it, and have it ready when when the next card fills up.
The 2.5" 60GB hard disk drive can hold the contents of up to 15 4GB P2 cards, and the entire contents of a 4GB P2 card can be transferred to the internal hard disk drive in about four minutes
The P2 Store can also be used as a simple P2 reader. Many computers don't have the PCMCIA slot for reading the P2 card. By connecting this device to your computer via USB, simply put the P2 card into the P2 Store and it will appear on your desktop.
