The audio snake consists of two 3 pin XLR audio cables with male and female connectors which deliver sound from the audio mixer (like a Shure FP 33) to camera deck.
The headset cable has two uses: first , it brings EAR sound from the camera back to the mixer operator to control recording of his feed to the camera . Also, the camera operator can then plug his headset in and can also hear mixed sound from the mixer.
