The DVW-790WS is a 4:3/16:9 Switchable Digital Betacam camcorder featuring 12-Bit A/D conversion, resulting in a S/N ratio of over 62dB and extraordinary highlight and low light capability. It uses (3) 16:9 PowerHad FIT CCDs, and has ClearScan, Super EVS (Enhanced Vertical definition System), and the Setup Card system.
Advanced Digital Signal Processing allows for useful features such as skin tone iris, skin tone detail, highlight handling, and a wide dynamic range. Other features include Multi-Matrix Control, Auto Tracing White Balance, and Gamma/Black Gamma Control.
Does not require a playback adapter, due to the Studio quality playback available right from the camera. Takes 32 or 40 Minute Digital Betacam tapes. 850 TVL horizontal resolution in 16:9 mode. f9 at 2000 lux. Weight: about 11 lbs. without lens or battery.
