LEARNING LAB: KEY PRODUCTION SUPPORT TOOLS + TIPS FOR STEADIER IMAGES
October 26, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join Producer, Director, Cinematographer and VITEC Ambassador, Gary Adcock, for an in-depth explanation of some of the tricks to get the most from your Tripods and Supports. Gary will cover how quality sticks and bricks will help you create a steadier image, how to maximize camera moves for a variety of deliverables, and how to properly set your tripod’s counterbalance and drag settings to create meaningful images.
The burgeoning market for 4K, VR and HDR deliverables has created a need for filmmakers to forge a better understanding of the supporting tools in production. Shooting 4K imagery requires that attention be taken to create the highest quality image. What might be a minor camera move in HD, can be uncomfortable when viewed with the increased detail in 4K. Lighting, even at a time when cameras are capable of seeing in the dark, is still a vital necessity in creating powerful and provoking imagery.
