Tips, Tricks AND Treats…. Getting into the Halloween spirit early this year? Nah, neither are we.

But, our September meeting is just about a month prior to Halloween. So, join Julie Kahn and Mark Chesak as they demo some of their favorite tips and tricks in Avid Media Composer.

Whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned veteran, we’re sure there will be something for everyone. And hey, if you feel that you’re an “old dog” who can’t learn new tricks at least you will get free pizza and a chance to win something in our raffle. That should count for something.

People have been asking for a “tips and tricks” meeting for a while and this is it! Don’t miss out.

Space is limited, so be sure to register early.

Each registered attendee will receive one raffle ticket good towards the prize drawing at the end of the meeting.

All payments and registrations must occur online prior to 12pm the day of the event. No financial transactions will take place at the check-in.

Doors open for admission at 6pm. Please allow us time to finish getting setup before arriving.

Please do not register more than once, space is limited at our meetings and we want to ensure that everyone who is interested in attending has the opportunity to register and attend.

Registering for BAVUG events automatically adds you to our general mailing list so that we can keep you updated on this event and also future events, you may unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time. BAVUG 2018 July: Freelancer Forum at Finish

FROM OUR FRIENDS AT BAVUG:  Are you a freelance editor, motion graphic designer, audio engineer, colorist or other? Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned veteran, it takes a lot to navigate the ups and downs of finding and maintaining clients, staying competitive in the market and, of course, getting paid. For our July meeting, we’re pleased to announce that our friends at Finish are letting us use their roof deck (weather permitting) for an evening of networking that’s designed exclusively for the freelance post-production professional in the Boston area. Join us, meet up with old friends, make new ones and share your tips on making it as a freelancer in Boston.

If you’re a producer or other video professional that hires freelance post-production for your projects, then you’re welcome to attend too! The Boston area is a relatively small video community, so it is our aim to facilitate networking opportunities whenever possible.

For this meeting, BAVUG is asking for $10 per person to cover food and beverages and other expenses. They’ll give every registered attendee 3 raffle tickets when they check-in.
