Description
Sony’s new FX3 is a compact camera that blends the Alpha series with their Cinema series. Borrowing from its larger siblings like the Venice and FX9, the FX3 boasts a full-frame sensor and recording options that match perfectly when used together with the rest of Sony’s Cinema series cameras. The camera body is compact and portable, but rugged in construction and peppered with 1/4-20 mounting points for attaching accessories directly to the camera.
The 10.1MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor combined with a powerful image processor delivers stunning quality 4K images with 15+ stops of dynamic range, reduced rolling-shutter effects, and great image stabilization. Sony’s famous “see in the dark” sensitivity allows images from ISO 80 all the way up to ISO 409,600 (extended), enabling shots in a wide variety of lighting conditions.
Varieties of XAVC are recorded at 10-Bit 4:2:2 with 16-Bit RAW output via HDMI. Gamma options for recording include S-Cinetone, S-Log3, HLG, and Rec. 709, amongst others.
