NiSi Aureus Primes
The NiSi Aureus Prime T1.4 Full-Frame Cinema Lenses represents the company’s entry into high-speed cinema primes and are designed for modern digital cinema cameras, covering a 46 mm image circle suitable for full-frame and large-format sensors. The series includes 18 mm, 24 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm, and 85 mm focal lengths, each with a maximum aperture of T1.4. Optical performance emphasizes high contrast and resolution with controlled chromatic aberration and minimal distortion. Multi-layer coatings and low-dispersion glass elements contribute to a neutral color profile that maintains consistency across the set.
Each lens in the Aureus line shares a unified mechanical design with a 90 mm front diameter, 86 mm filter thread, and consistent gear positions for focus and iris. The lenses feature a 300-degree focus rotation with clearly marked distance scales and luminous engravings for visibility in low-light environments. Focus breathing is minimal, maintaining consistent framing during focus pulls, and the lenses include a rear filter holder that accommodates compact filtration setups, particularly useful for gimbals or smaller rigs.
