Operating Hours, Policies, and Procedures for Equipment Rentals
Hours of Operation
Rule Broadcast System's regular operating hours are 8 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Services can be provided outside of our regular operating hours by prior arrangement. In an emergency, please call our 24-hour pager at 781.945.0271.
Accounts
In order to rent equipment from Rule, a completed account application should be submitted by fax or e-mail no less than one week prior to your first shoot date to ensure sufficient processing time. First time rentals will be C.O.D., but subsequent rentals for approved accounts will be billed on a net 30 basis.
Insurance
The renter must provide Rule Broadcast Systems with a valid certificate of insurance before the release of equipment. The certificate must include:
- Renter provides All Risk coverage that is greater than or equal to the replacement cost of all equipment used on the production.
- Rule Broadcast Systems is named as loss payee and additional insured.
- Coverage must extend through the time period for which the equipment is rented.
- When traveling outside the U.S., All Risk, World-Wide coverage is required for equipment which is in transit/shipping.
- A ten-day prior notice of cancellation is submitted to Rule Broadcast Systems if insurance is reduced or cancelled.
Pick-Up and Return
Equipment is generally available for pick-up after 3:00PM on the business day before your first shoot date. Prior arrangements must be made if equipment is needed earlier. Returns must be made by 10:00AM on the day following your last shoot date. Equipment returned after 10:00AM is subject to additional rental charges.
Delivery Service
Deliveries during normal hours of operation within Greater Boston and Route 128 are $45.00. Please call us or see our Business Policies for details on other destinations.
